Annual Appeal

The Greenwich Old Timers Athletic Association provides significant and critical financial support to help Greenwich youth participate in athletic programs. Many of the families, organizations, and teams we support cannot afford the rising costs of athletic equipment, uniforms, team registrations, and travel. Our organization is a 501(c)(3) founded by Joe and Jim Branca in 1960, with the primary mission to encourage youth activities and sports for boys and girls to permit them to learn and experience through athletics the principles of unity, fellowship, and good sportsmanship.

In addition to promoting and supporting youth sports programs, the mission of the Old Timers includes our College Scholarship Program. Since our inception, the Old Timers have awarded college scholarships to 152 worthy young male and female student-athletes from Greenwich. Moreover, at our Annual Awards Dinner, we have honored 248 local members of our community for their achievements and contributions to youth sports in Greenwich, as well as 159 national sports luminaries.

For a current snapshot of all that we do for Greenwich youth sports and student-athletes, I include this year’s Old Timers newsletter.

Fulfilling the Old Timers’ mission for the past 61 years and for years to come is only possible through the financial generosity of its supporters throughout the community. Please consider making a donation to our 2022 Annual Appeal. A response form is enclosed for your convenience or visit www.greenwicholdtimers.org to donate online.

On behalf of the Board of The Greenwich Old Timers Athletic Association, thank you for your support of Greenwich youth sports and student-athletes.

Sincerely,

Jim Loughran
